We are happy you are interested in joining the International Yoga Congress 2018 in Berlin. You find here all the information you need for registration, travel and participation to the Congress and to ensure a pleasant stay in Germany. General Information
When and where is the congress taking place?
The Congress takes place in Berlin Mitte from November 30 to December 2, 2018. The program on FRIDAY & SATURDAY will be in Villa Elisabeth, Invalidenstraße 3, 10115 Berlin and on SUNDAY in the MahaYoga Zentrum, Brunnenstraße 147, 10115 Berlin.
In which languages is the Congress offered?
The main language of the congress is English, but we offer live translation into German for all events.
Who is organizing the congress?
The congress is organised by ATMAN – The International Federation of Yoga and Meditation, which is uniting Yoga schools and practitioners from all over the world, committed to authentic spiritual values and the integration of yoga and meditation into the modern life.
Who is hosting the congress?
The host of this year’s Congress is the Deutsche Akademie für traditionelles Yoga e. V.

How do I register as a congress participant?

How much is the entrance fee to the Congress?
Registration fee for the Congress incl. dinner on Friday and Saturday and lunch on Saturday is 295€. If you are a student, unemployed, retiree, under 21 years of age or yoga student in one of the ATMAN member schools, you get a reduced fee of 250€. There is also a Saturday ticket for 215€. Furthermore, the host can claim rental deposits for translation devices etc. The deposit will be given back on return of the device.
How much is the entrance fee to the Yoga Contest?
Entrance to the “Yoga Contest for Promoting Spiritual Values” of the Congress is free.

Buttons for easy sharing on facebook, twitter, google+ and other services are in the footer bar at the bottom of the website.
The Congress Programme
How do I get the entry badge for access to the congress?
Please bring your printed ticket, your ID card and in the case of reduced price the proof that qualifies you for it. You will receive your entry badge at the accreditation desk during the accreditation hours that will be announced to you by email. In case of free spaces, tickets will also be sold at the reception desk on a first come first serve basis, but it is much safer to buy your ticket online beforehand.
Can I share my entry badge with someone?
Badges are allocated per participant, and cannot be shared or lent to others.
Is it possible to join just for one day?
Yes, you can come just on Saturday by buying the Saturday ticket.
Where can I find the program of the congress?
You find the program here and a free printed programme will be given to all participants on-site.
Do I have to sign up for the different lectures or workshops beforehand?
No, signing up in advance is not possible. Please take into consideration that places are limited at each activity.
Will there be common yoga practice? Are special clothes/mats needed?
Comfortable yoga clothes might be helpful in some of the workshops on Sunday. Yoga mats will be provided
What languages are spoken in the lectures and workshops? Is translation provided? Do I need to pay/bring anything to receive translation or to sign up for it?
Most of the activities will be in English, some might be in German language. There will be translation provided from English to German and vice versa. You will not need to sign up in advance for translation. If you come in a bigger group with need for translation into other languages, please contact us in good time under organizer@internationalyogacongress.net to see if we can find a solution.
Please bring your own portable radio-receiver or smartphone with headphones if possible, otherwise you can rent a device on-site while supplies last. Translation services are free, but you may be asked to pay a refundable deposit for your receiver and headphones if you do not bring your own, which will be refunded on return of the device. You can pick up and return translation receivers at the accreditation desk.
What if I don´t want to be filmed or photographed in the audience?
All Congress participants who do not want to be filmed or photographed can sit in specified areas where they will not be included in any recordings.
Is there a minimum age requirement?

How can I prepare for the International Yoga Contest?
You can find out here which asana-s and what other tasks will be part of the yoga contest. The best preparation though is your own sincere and systematic daily practice for your personal spiritual evolution that will mirror its clear results within your life.
What do I need to bring for the International Yoga Contest?
You need to bring a bathing suit (two-piece for women) for the Hatha Yoga session of the contest, so that the judges can determine the correct execution of the asana-s. Yoga mats will be provided.
Who is supervising the International Yoga Contest? Who are the judges? What can I win?
The judges are senior teachers of the ATMAN Federation. The prizes offered by the organizers, the host and their sponsors will be substantial awards in money, retreats, courses and gifts.
What languages do I need to be able to speak to take part in the International Yoga Contest?
You should either speak English or German in order to be able to take part in the yoga contest easily. The organizers will do their best to provide translation if you need help with translation of the questions in the intelligence and spiritual intuition tests.

When should I arrive in Berlin as a speaker?
You are kindly asked to arrive in good time, so you can attend the short meeting relevant to your presentation. You will be informed of the exact time of both your session and your presentation by the organizing committee.
